How to seduce the Aldi lover?

It is generally accepted that the concept of Aldi only reaching a small target group in the lower social class of the population is no longer valid.  Nowadays 72.5% of the Belgian households shop at Aldi.  And in Flanders this percentage is even higher: 85,7%.

Of course not all these Aldi shoppers are Aldi devotees...

Who puts turkey on the menu?

Christmas is coming closer and as every year everybody who has to cook that day has already started to wonder what to serve. And then stuffed turkey probably comes first into mind.  But is turkey still as popular as before at Christmas?

Looking at the past four years we see that every week 3.0% to 3.5% of the Belgian households have bought turkey.  But as shown in the graph below the average weekly penetration(*) of turkey is around 5.0% to 6.5% in the week of December 25th; penetration for turkey almost doubles in this week...
